Activities

The tasks carried out by the student within the company will be evaluated and recognized for a total of 24 ECTS credits. The specialty that will be recognized to the student within the dual training program is the "Enterprise Integrated Projects".

Eurecat is interested in the completion of the TFM by the student in the company.

Description of tasks and professional profile developed by the student / worker

The main role of the professional profile to be developed is focused on supporting applied R & D & I tasks in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data for the discovery of knowledge and decision support in different domains and fields of application. Some of the techniques that can be explored, without being limited to them are:

• Pattern detection
• Identification of anomalies
• Predicition systems (eg quality, breakdowns)
• Resource optimization
• ... and tilimately, the construction of expert and decision support systems.

In addition, depending o the needs and availability, the tasks can be related to :

• Semantic Web, standards and interoperability
• Management Web platforms
• Hybird BiData /yate with high scablability and performance capabilities
• Open Electronics
• ... among others

The professional profile to be developed will be focused on acquiring the skills of a Data Scientist, who in a summarized way must know how to explore and analyze data from multiple existing systems in different companies, to make their exploitation easier and more effective. Therefore, the acquisition of knowledge related to yate platforms, advanced hybrid architecture, and other aspects of ICT engineering will also be deepened.

From 9:00 to 13:00 or from 14:00 to 18:00, according to the conditions (class period).

From 9:00 to  14:00 and 15:00 to 18:00 (non-class period).

Profile of students / workers

Knowledge and requirements

Desirable knowledge of students are:

• Experience in the application of knowledge discovery techniques using Python, and / or related libraries as Pandas, Numpy, matplotlib, scipy, scikit-learn, seaborn, will be valued
• Knowledge in Machine Learning algorithms will be valued
• Knowledge of Big Data architectures will be valued
• Knowledge of programming languages: Java, HTML / JS / CSS3 / Angular, and / or .NET, (C #)
• Previous experience in development using IDEs like eclipse, Android Studio, IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, Visual Studio Code, and environments like Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience in the use of collaborative and version control tools such as GitLab or equivalent, as well as in agile development methods (SCRUM, KANBAN, etc ...) will be valued.

Languages

Catalan and Spanish. English will be highly valued.
